In the context of the HHAI25 conference, we are delighted to invite artists, collectives, curators, and creative technologists to propose AI & Art Exhibitions for our upcoming showcase. This exhibition aims to explore the dynamic intersection of creativity and artificial intelligence – celebrating, critiquing, and experimenting with the possibilities of AI in the arts. From generative art installations and multimedia performances to sonic explorations and theatrical experiences, we welcome any artistic discipline, provided AI is central to the process or the theme.
1. What We’re Looking For
Theme: Proposals that explore AI as a tool, collaborator, or subject matter. Projects may involve (but are not limited to) generative AI, machine learning, robotics, or data-driven processes.
Art Forms: Any form of artistic expression – visual arts, music, video, theatre, performance, literature, immersive installations, etc.
Engagement: We encourage works that invite audience interaction or participation, stimulate dialogue on the ethics and impact of AI, or push creative boundaries through technology.
2. Proposal Guidelines
Each proposal should be in PDF format, not exceed 5 pages in the IOS format and must include the following information:
- Title of the exhibition
- The intended duration
- Project Team & Past Experiences
- Introduce the individuals or groups who will produce the exhibition.
- Summarize relevant experience, notable works, and any past collaborations with AI or new media.
- Provide a link to online resource showing your past organization of this exhibition
- Exhibition Concept & Description
- Clearly outline the vision and content of the exhibition, addressing how AI is integrated into its concept or execution.
- Describe the artistic medium(s), the narrative or theme, and how it connects to the idea of AI.
- Share any unique audience engagement elements or interactive components.
- Technical Requirements
- Specify any hardware, software, or special equipment necessary for the exhibition.
- Outline installation or performance requirements (e.g., space dimensions, sound system, lighting, internet connectivity).
- Provide an estimated timeline for setup and takedown, if applicable.
- Supporting Materials
- You may include images, sketches, or audio/video links (embedded or hyperlinked) to illustrate your proposal.
- If including external links, please keep them brief and relevant to the project.
3. Selection Criteria
Relevance: How clearly the proposal engages with AI as a subject or uses AI-based tools/techniques in its creation.
Innovation & Originality: The uniqueness of the concept and the level of creativity in integrating AI.
Feasibility: The clarity and realism of the project’s technical and logistical requirements.
Artistic & Conceptual Rigor: The overall impact, depth, and significance of the proposal.
The HHAI25 conference will cover all expenses of the selected exhibitions and will provide the exhibition organizers a prize up to 2500 euros in total.
