Getting to the venue
HHAI 2023 will take place at “Design Offices München Macherei” (Weihenstephaner Str. 12, 81673 München). The venue is located near Munich East station (“Ostbahnhof”), which is well connected via S-Bahn and U-Bahn. From there it takes 9 minutes by Tram 21 (direction: St.-Veit-Straße) to the venue (Stop: Schlüsselbergstraße). Walking takes 21 minutes.
Getting to Marienplatz (city centre) is direct and only takes 24 minutes by Tram 21 (direction: Westfriedhof). Other HHAI locations include the LMU Media Informatics (travel time: 35min) south of the city centre, the LMU Lichthof (travel time: 30min) north of the city centre and the German Entrepreneurship (travel time: 22min) just south of Munich East station.
A single day ticket for public transport within the city (Zone M) is 8.80€. A weekly ticket (IsarCard) is 20.20€. Note that further travels (e.g. Munich Airport) requires you to purchase additional Zones. Please consult the detailed information available here: https://www.muenchen.de/en/transportation.

Arriving by plane/train
Munich airport is a major transportation hub within Europe. You can take both S1 and S8 towards the city centre (travel times are around 40-45 minutes). Both lines stop at Munich East/Ostbahnhof, Marienplatz (city centre) and central station during regular operation hours. A single ticket is 13.00€ (Zone M-5).
Long distance trains usually end at Munich central station. You can take any S-Bahn towards the city centre (Marienplatz) to also get to Munich East/Ostbahnhof. A single ticket (Zone M) is 3.70€.
