Minute Madness

The minute madness is an opportunity for participants to get a teaser of both the talks that will be presented at the conference, as well as the posters & demos that will be showcased on Wednesday evening.

This will happen during the first session on Wednesday morning, 9:30-10:30 in the Auditorium. Remember, it will be madness!

Posters & Demos

On Wednesday evening, we will have a poster and demo session, where short papers and application demonstrators but also some of the conference papers will be presented. This session will be accompanied by the typical Dutch borrel, i.e. evening nibbles and drinks. It will take place adjacent to the coffee area.

For presenters: Hanging posters up/ setting demos up: Wednesday 13:00 – 16:00.

Social Event

We want participants to enjoy the city of Amsterdam along with attending the conference. This is why we organised the HHAI social event as a cruise on the IJ river on Thursday evening (Boarding at 18:00)! This event is already included in your conference registration.

During the boat trip, we will enjoy the beautiful Amsterdam landscapes including the Java-island, the Adam Tower and the EYE-filmmuseum. We will pass the famous locks Oranjesluizen to reach the Markermeer, the Fortress Island Pampus and the Amsterdam Castle Muiderslot. The bar will be open to enjoy good food and a drink in one of the saloons or on the spacious outside decks.

Meeting point :

Ponton-Steiger (Eye Filmmuseum)
in front of the A’DAM Toren (next to the ferry F3)
Overhoeksplein 1, Amsterdam.

How to get there : Take the free ferry F3 from Amsterdam Central Station (calculate about 5 minutes for the ferry ride). Amsterdam Central Station is easily reachable by taking the metro 52 from Amsterdam Zuid, or by bike (30 minutes ride). You can take your bike on the ferry for free.
Boarding : 18:00
Departure : 18:30

Do not arrive late, or you will miss the boat!

Additionally, you all can be DJ on the boat! We have created a collaborative Spotify playlist to which you can add your favourite party songs!
